Zbignievas Levickis was born in 1965. In 1972 he started studying with Emilija Armoniene at the M.K.Ciurlionis Art School. While still at school he won awards in the national and Concertino Praha competitions. In 1983 he entered the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (presently Lithuanian Academy of Music,) with Prof. Raimundas Katilius, which he finished in 1990. Since 1993 he has been working as the concertmaster of the State Symphony Orchestra. He has been performing in chamber ensembles together with A.Pileckis, I.Armonaite, V.Lukocius and A.Bendoraitiene. He gave solo concerts withLithuanian National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Kaunas, Warsaw, Torun, Slupsk chamber orchestras. He performed in various countries such as USA, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, Spain etc. He has prepared many interesting programmes and several premieres in Lithuania. Since 1997 he has been the leader of Vilnius Chamber Orchestra. In 1998 he became a Cavalier of The Rebirth of Poland Order (Order Odrozonia Polski). In his concerts he often performs opuses by contemporary composers. Since 2004 he has been working together with the pianist Ala Bendoraitiene.
