Ula Čaplikaitė was born in 1979. She started her music studies at the Vilnius B.Dvarionas Ten-Year Music School for Children. She studied flute with Laima Šulskutė at the Vilnius Conservatoire (graduated in 1999). In 2005, she graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre where she studied flute with Prof. Algirdas Vizgirda. Čaplikaitė has attended flute interpretation courses held by C.Hustedt, W.Bennett, G.Bourgogne and R.Wilson.
Ula Čaplikaitė became twice the laureate of the J.Pakalnis National Young Performers Competition (1997 and 1999).
The flutist together with the Flute Quartet of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre participated at the Neringa music festival Neringa 2004, performed together with the chamber ensemble Musica Humana and toured Germany with Junge Europe Philharmonie symphony orchestra (2001). In 2003 and 2004, she had several recitals in Washington (USA).
Ula Čaplikaitė has been performing a lot with various Lithuanian ensembles as a soloist as well as with various chamber ensembles.
