Rima Chacaturian was born in 1984, Tbilisi. From the age of seven she studied at the Šiauliai Music School and in 1998-2003, at the M. K. Čiurlionis Art Gymnasium with Prof. Veronika Vitaitė. Currently R. Chacaturian is a fourth year student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with Prof. Veronika Vitaitė. R. Chacaturian studied at the Hanover Higher School of Music with Prof. B. Berthold for a year. She is a laureate and won diplomas at several international and national competitions: J. S. Bach in Vilnius, N. Rubinstein in Paris, Music without Walls in Druskininkai, Jūrmala-2001 in Latvia. In 2008 she won the 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in Sweden (the prize was the Grand Piano Blüthner). She was also awarded the prize for the best performance of an opus by O. Messiaen.

R. Chacaturian has performed together with the Latvian Chamber and Kaunas Chamber Orchestras. She has given many concerts in Lithuania and Germany. She has also attended master classes with J. Lowenthal, N. Seryogina, M. Rubackytė, V. Nosin, A. Sevidov, etc.

Rima Chacaturian erlebte man als einfuhlsame Begleiterin und auch grossartige Solistinnen am Flugel. Letztere begeisterte mit ihrem Temperament, sie soll auchbereits eigene Improvisationen und Kompositionen schreiben.

Sie verstand es, zum einem musikalisch im Hintergrund zu bleiben und zum anderen absolute Homogenitat mit den Solistenzu schaffen.Auch als Solisten kannte man sie erleben, ausdrucksstark wie gefuhlvoll interpretierte sie ein Prelude von Rachmaninov.
