The ensamble „Reversio“ playing XVI-XVIII century music was founded in Marijampole (Lithuania) in 2000. The credo of the ensemble - „Freedom of expression, originality and perfect playing – this is the essence in art of music“. Distinguishing feature of „Reversio“ is that baroque music is performed with authentic Lithuanian music instruments - birbynes (reed-pipes). Lithuanian birbynes are unique in their expressive, contrasting way of sounding which has some common features with such old wind-instruments as baroque flute, oboe, chalumeaux etc. They append to the space of Baroque music very naturally.

Most of the repertoire is compiled of old French, German, Italian and English composers‘ music works. „Reversio“ performs music of that time when Lithuania was the Grand Duchy. It is one of the main goals of the ensemble.

In 2004-2005 „Reversio“ took part in projects „A trip through the world of Baroque music 1“, „A trip through the world of Baroque music 2“. The ensemble has performed music in various Lithuanian castles and churches all over Lithuania.

The core of the ensemble is art director Darius Klisys (birbyne) and Mindaugas Radzevicius (organ, harpsichord, grand piano). Arturas Peckaitis (double bass, birbyne) and Egle Radzeviciute (harpsichord) also can be seen in the cast of the ensemble.
