Regina Šilinskaitė joined the Lithuanian Academy of Music in 1982. In 1984–1992 she studied singing under Vlada Mikštaitė. She participated in singing interpretation classes in Austria, 1992 (V. Šukys), Denmark, 1993 (P. Orlowitz), Germany, 1996 (Josef Loible).

In 1992 the singer debuted at the Kaunas Musical Theatre with the part of Gilda in opera Rigoletto. For several years she was invited to the premieres of Kaunas Musical Theatre.

In 1992 Regina Šilinskaitė won the St. Petersburg Young Vocalists’ Competition Stars of the Baltic Sea. Since 1998 she has been a soloist at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The singer’s repertoire includes 20 opera parts, among the most recent: Oscar in G. Verdi’s A Masked Ball, Gilda in G. Verdi’s Rigoletto and Violeta in G. Verdi’s La Traviata. In 2004 for her part of Valenciene in F. Lehar’s operetta The Merry Widow (Die lustige Witwe) she was nominated for the Golden Cross of the Stage. One of her most memorable roles is Eudoxie in J. Halevy’s La Juive. For this role, Šilinskaitė, as the best opera soloist of the year 2005, was awarded The Golden Cross of the Stage by The Lithuanian Ministry of Culture. Šilinskaitė has prepared several programmes of chamber music. The soloist has worked together with the following conductors: Yehudi Menuhin, Ingo Ernst Reihl, Jonas Aleksa, Liutauras Balčiūnas, Saulius Sondeckis, Martynas Staškus and Vytautas Viržonis. Regina Šilinskaitė has been organising the festival of ecclesiastical music in Molėtai, Let’s Praize Lord with Strings and Pipes (Šlovinkime Viešpatį stygomis ir dūdomis), already for five years.
