30-year anniversary of creative activity

Singer Judita Leitaitė celebrates her 30-year anniversary of creative activity. On that occasion, together with the State Wind Orchestra "Trimitas", she presents four concerts "With Love", which will be held in Vilnius, Alytus, Raseiniai and Šiauliai.

The Gala concerts will feature works showing Judita Leitaitė’s creative path, among them the song that helped her become the first „Dainų dainelė“ ("Song of Songs") contest winner which led her to the professional stage. The concerts will feature her daughter, violinist Paulina Daukšytė, who is currently a student at Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University’s Academy of Music.

The soloist, winner of international competitions, mezzo-soprano Judita Leitaitė graduated the then Lithuanian Conservatoire (now Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre), and later studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with famous vocal teachers Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Carlo Bergonzi and Tom Krause.

She has performed in many European countries, especially often in Scandinavia, as well as the United States, South Africa, Israel, Russia. She also actively participates in various music festivals, her repertoire consists of chamber music of different styles and solo parts in large scale vocal-instrumental works.

She was the first performer of works by Osvaldas Balakauskas, Anatolijus Šenderovas, Mindaugas Urbaitis and other Lithuanian composers.

For her contributions to Lithuanian culture Judita Leitaitė was awarded the Knight of the Order of Vytautas the Great Cross in 2004. In 2005 she was granted the Government's Culture and Arts Award, in 2007 became a Golden Disc winner.

11 February, 6 PM - Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre in Vilnius.
14 February, 5 PM - Alytus Culture and Communication Centre.
19 February, 6 PM – Raseiniai district cultural center.
25 February, 6 PM – Šiauliai City Concert Hall „Saulė“.
