Opera soloist Julija Karaliūnaitė creates roles at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater (LNOBT). She has participated in the internship program of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater. J. Karaliūnaitė is a guest soloist at the Jerusalem (Israel) and Narva (Estonia) Opera Festivals. Her repertoire includes Ksenia (M. Musorgsky's "Boris Godunov", LNOBT), Ortlinde (R. Wagner's "Die Walküre", LNOBT), Musetta (G. Puccini's "La Boheme", LNOBT, Jerusalem Summer Opera Festival, Narva Opera Festival). J. Karaliūnaitė is currently preparing the roles of Rusalka (A. Dvoržak “Rusalka”) and Lola (P. Mascagni “Cavalleria rusticana”) for the Jerusalem Opera Festival and the role of Tatjana (P. Tchaikovsky “Eugene Onegin”) for the Narva Opera Festival. The soloist is a laureate of a number of vocal competitions, including an international singing competition in Rome, Italy. The singer has participated in various festivals - Pažaislis, Druskomanija, NOA, Ultima (Oslo). She had given a recital in Copenhagen (Denmark). She has also sung for the Swedish, Norwegian and Latvian audiences. In her creative career, the performer pays a lot of attention to contemporary music, participates in contemporary music festivals, has created roles in the operas of composers O. Narbutaitė, R. Šerkšnytė, S. Mickis, L. Paulauskis, A. Navickas, G. Holloway, has performed in the composer‘s G. Gelgotas premiere works. She is also involved in the NB8 ART contemporary music project in Estonia, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania. With the ensemble CLASSIC + in 2022 the singer recorded the album of contemporary Lithuanian composers “Compose Me".
