Jonė Punytė (born in 1980) started studying music when she was six (teacher Lilija Petrauskienė). In 1997 she graduated from the Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium (teacher Birutė Kumpikienė).

In 2003 she finished her MA studies in solo piano (with Prof. Olga Šteinbergaitė) at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and attended lied classes at the Stuttgart Higher School of Music and Theatre with Prof. Konrad Richter, Prof. Cornel Witthoefft and in 2004-2006 hammerklavier (authentic old piano) classes at the Trossingen (Germany) Higher School of Music, Prof. Eckart Sellheim.
