Gintarė Skerytė (soprano)
Gintarė Skerytė graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre where she studied piano and singing. Her singing repertoire is varied and broad: from old to contemporary music. G. Skerytė has been participating in all music festivals organised in Lithuania and abroad (Vilnius, St. Christopher, Gaida and Pažaislis). The singer has prepared and performed many solo programmes not only in Lithuania, but also in Latvia, Russia, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Island and USA. She has been constantly performing with various Lithuanian and foreign orchestras, choirs and chamber ensembles.
G. Skerytė has performed many leading parts in international projects of baroque operas: H. Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Dido), C. Monteverdi’s Orpheus and Eurydice (Eurydice), D. B. Pergolesi’s The Maid Mistress, F. Caccini’s La Liberazione di Riggiero dall' Isola d'Alcina (Alcina).

In 1998 Lithuanian television produced a film about Gintarė Skerytė’s creative career. Since 1992, the singer has been transferring her experience to her students at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the school of choir singing Liepaitės.
